INFORMATION ON COVID-19 & TRAVEL

CANTON IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

Canton Tourism is committed to staying on top of COVID-19 releases from local, state and national partners. The health and safety of our friends and visitors are of the utmost importance, especially during this time of uncertainty! We will strive to do our best to keep this page updated with the most current information.

Statewide Mask Mandate has been lifted by Governor Tate Reeves.

City of Canton Mask Mandate is still in effect per Mayor Truly’s statement:

  • All businesses must require their customers to wear a mask before entrance into its facility. The policy is NO MASK, NO ENTRY. This mandate applies to restaurants, liquor stores, bars, salons, grocery stores, service stations, and all places of business.

  • All citizens of Canton who are out and amongst the public must wear a mask for the protection of themselves, the public welfare, loved ones and the health of others.

  • Any and all employees of a business, in particular the employees who handle food of any kind, such as fast food places and others, must wear a mask and gloves when interacting with the public.

We must continue to follow the guidelines of the health experts and continue to follow all guidelines of the CDC.

REMEMBER TO Social Distance and Stay Safe

Social distancing (keeping at least 6 feet away from other) continues to be essential away from home.

  • Social Gatherings (Executive Order 1507)

  • Social gatherings indoors are limited to 10 persons

  • Social gatherings outdoors are limited to 20 persons

  • This limitation shall not apply to facilities governed by other capacity limitations

  • Safe Worship Guidelines

What You Can Do To Stop The Spread

  • Social distancing is still critical to stop the spread of COVID-19. Keep plenty of distance between yourself and others.

  • Wearing a mask or face covering can sharply reduce the risk of passing COVID-19 on to others. Wearing a mask is strongly recommended whenever you are in public places with others around you.

  • Most people spreading COVID-19 do not know they are infected.

  • Remind others that precautions remain essential, and set an example by your actions.
